Royce Institute - Bluedot
The Henry Royce Institute is the UK’s national institute for advanced materials research and innovation and is closely involved with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Sheffield. The institute regularly conducts outreach activities at the “Bluedot” music festival, held in the shadow of the iconic Lovell Telescope at the Jodrell Bank Observatory, UK.
To date, Richard has volunteered at these outreach events on a number of occasions, assisting with pre-designed activities as shown in the video on the left.
Future involvement with “Royce@Bluedot”, as it has been known with those involved, is intended. This will most likely result in a custom outreach activity connected with Richard’s fellowship, along a complex fluids – materials processing theme. This page will be updated as and when this happens.
